Pet Sitting (pĕt) (sĭt' ĭng)
n. The work of a pet sitter. Caring for pets in their own homes while their owners are away from home

Your J.B. Pet Sitter will always meet with you and your pet free of charge before beginning our first care assignment. We want to know you and your pet and all their relevant care information.

Vacation care: we will visit your pet(s) 1-3x throughout the day while you are away for business or pleasure. Each visit is approximately 30 minutes or more depending on required care and includes (as necessary):

• Feeding
• Fresh water
• Medication
• Scooping the litter
• Home check features(lights, curtains, security etc)
• Walks/play/exercise
• Lots of love
• We can also provide aquarium maintenance, basic grooming (brushing/combing) and updates to you via phone or email so you know how they are doing.

Dog Walking: Whether you are away for the day at work, or just unable to walk your dog for any reason.

A fast paced trot, a sniff around the neighbourhood or somewhere in between. Usually 30 minutes out, although severe weather and your pets’ age and physical ability may change walk times.

Mid-day space is limited.

Puppy visits: Because they just can’t wait. We’ll get them out to play and do their business. We can also spend some of our time working on their current training and socialization.

Ready key: Frequent traveller, short notice care, or just locked yourself out. J.B. Pet Sitting will store a copy of your key for convenience. All keys are stored in a lock box when not in use. There is never a name or address on them, for security, we use a coded identification system.

The following services are included with all vacation care and also available as a separate service.

Home check:

• We check the exterior and interior of your home to ensure it is safe and secure.
• Visual check of water heater and furnace operation.
• Water house plants (may be extra fee for larger quantities)
• Bring in the mail (and forward to you for longer term)
• Take out any garbage & recycling
• Give your house that lived in look by opening/closing blinds and drapes, rotating lights left on and switching on and off radios and TV’s.
• We’ll provide updates to you as requested via phone or email
• We can also clear the snow and mow the lawn while taking care of your home and or pets only not as a separate service (additional fees apply)

Medication administration: We can give your pet their pills, insulin injections and Sub-Q fluids (additional fees may apply).

Maintenance services: Cage, litter box and aquarium cleaning

Supplies delivery: We do have a few brands of cat & dog food that we carry, but we can pick up and deliver your pets’ favourite kind as well as litter, treats and bedding. For longer term pet and house care contracts, we can also re-stock a few of your perishable items for your return home.
